AI phone agent platform for enterprise brands that handles inbound and outbound calls for sales, support, and operations with human-sounding AI agents.
Regal is a voice AI agent platform that enables businesses to build, deploy, and manage AI agents for phone, SMS, chat, and WebRTC interactions across 30+ languages. Founded by contact center operators, the platform features a no-code Agent Builder with drag-and-drop workflow design, Journey Builder for multi-step customer orchestration, and Conversation Intelligence for automated QA and real-time call monitoring.
The platform includes native A/B testing, IVR, sales dialer, and Regal Copilot for accelerating agent creation from idea to deployment. Regal reports 97% containment rate for support calls, 96% satisfaction rates, 0-second answer times, 4x faster speed-to-lead, and 80% cost reduction versus human agents. With 40+ pre-built connectors, it integrates with major CRMs, EHRs, and scheduling systems.
Regal targets enterprises with at least 75 agents or 150,000 calls per month across healthcare, insurance, financial services, education, eCommerce, legal services, and BPO. Notable clients include Toyota, eHealth, TaskUs, American Red Cross, AAA, and Guitar Center.
The ToS and DPA explicitly restrict AI training on customer data. Section 2(d) of the MSA states: 'Data shall not be use
No training on user data means no opt-out is necessary.
Moderate risk. Suitable for internal data but avoid confidential information.
The ToS and DPA explicitly restrict AI training on customer data. Section 2(d) of the MSA states: 'Data shall not be used by Regal to train, refine, or otherwise improve AI Tools for the benefit of anyone but Customer.' The DPA Section 3 reiterates this restriction. However, Anonymized Data and Diagnostic Data are explicitly excluded from this protection and may be used for training.
“[ToS] 'Data shall not be used by Regal to train, refine, or otherwise improve AI Tools for the benefit of anyone but Customer' and [DPA] 'shall not use the Personal Data to directly or indirectly train, refine, or otherwise improve AI Tools for the benefit of anyone but Customer.'”
The license grant is limited to providing the service (Section 2(a) of MSA: 'non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable license...solely to conduct message-based marketing'). However, Section 2(e) grants Regal a 'perpetual and irrevocable right' to use Feedback without restrictions, which is broad. The license itself terminates on agreement termination, but Feedback rights survive indefinitely.
“[ToS] 'Customer hereby grants to Regal a perpetual and irrevocable right to use such Feedback to provide and improve the Service without any compensation or credit to Customer.'”
The DPA lists specific subprocessors (Twilio, AWS, Snowflake, OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, etc.) but does not explicitly state that all subprocessors are under DPAs. Section 3 of the DPA states Regal will not 'retain, use or disclose any personal information for any purpose other than for the specific purpose of providing the Service,' but the Privacy Policy states data may be shared 'to third parties who are bound by contractual obligations' without listing all such parties or providing a published sub-processor list with DPA status.
“[DPA] 'Subprocessors means third parties that Regal Voice engages to Process Personal Data in relation to the Service, which consist of, as of the date of this DPA, Twilio, Amazon Web Services, Snowflake, Deepgram, Open AI, Google, Anthropic, LiveKit, Retell AI, ElevenLabs, Rime, and Cartesia.'”
The MSA Section 6(d) states 'Regal shall have the right to delete any and all Data immediately upon expiration or termination of this Agreement,' but does not specify retention periods during the term. The Privacy Policy states 'We will retain your information for as long as we deem needed' which is vague. The DPA Section 3 allows retention 'related to Regal Voice's and Customer's compliance with applicable laws' after termination, creating ambiguity about what data persists.
“[MSA] 'Regal shall have the right to delete any and all Data immediately upon expiration or termination of this Agreement' and [Privacy] 'We will retain your information for as long as we deem needed to fulfill your requests, provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations.'”
Section 2(d) of the MSA explicitly states 'Customer owns all Data.' The license granted to Regal is limited to accessing, using, and processing the data to provide the service—not to claim ownership or sublicense outputs. Section 3 regarding Professional Services grants only a 'non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable' license to Regal Works incorporated into the Service, with all other rights retained by Customer.
“[MSA] 'As between the parties, Customer owns all Data' and 'Customer hereby grants to Regal a non-exclusive and non-transferable...license to access, use, modify, delete, host, copy, disclose, process and transmit the data...solely (i) to provide and improve the Service.'”
The Security page explicitly states 'Regal performs a variety of audits and assessments - including SOC2 certification' and 'we adhere to relevant standards including GDPR and CCPA.' The DPA is published at https://www.regal.ai/dpa/, and a Data Processing Addendum is available. The company references a Security and Compliance program and provides contact for security inquiries (security@regal.ai).
